I am Valentin Suder
Since 2018, I am an associate professor ("Maître de Conférences") at the University of Rouen Normandy, in the Computer Science Department. As a member of the LITIS Lab (Laboratoire d'Informatique, de Traitement de l'Information et des Systèmes), in the Combinatoric & Algorithms team, my main research area is the study of the different appplications of finite fieds in cryptography.
Before obtaining a tenure track in Rouen, I have previously held different positions that can be summarized as follows.
My academic career started at the end of 2014, when I defended my PhD in cryptography. I was lucky enough to have my work supervised by Pascal Charpin (DR0) at Inria Paris, the French National Institute for Computer Science.
2015 was a couple day old when I joined the University of Waterloo (ON, Canada) as a postdoctorant fellow, in order to work with Guang Gong (Professor, IEEE Fellow) and her team, the ComSecLab. I shortly became project manager for this team, until I left for Europe again.
In the fall of 2016, I was selected to hold a postdoc fellowship from the "Fondation Mathématique Jacques Hadamard". I was then doing research in the Cryptology and Information Security team of the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin.
This should be an up to date list of my academic publications.
